Mommy & Me Monday - August 29th

Well, the Summer break is over for the harescramble races.  After about a 5 week break, Damien was back to racing on Sunday at the Mountain Challenge II - you can read all about the race here.

It started out being kind of cool, but ended up warming up before we left.  I am SO ready for cooler weather!

The first part of our weekend was spent hanging around the house.

Brayden also spent some quality time with his Daddy while I went and ran some errands.  Brayden watched while Jason got things ready for the big race on Sunday.

Mommy & Me Monday - August 22nd

My husband Jason took a couple days off of work this week, so he stayed home and had "Daddy Daycare."  Brayden played with his tractor toys and got to play outside with his Daddy and brother.  I am thankful to have a sweet hubby who enjoys spending time with his boys!

Guess who started pulling himself up this week???!!!  We are in big trouble now!

We had another uneventful weekend - just lots of hanging around the house and taking naps.  I sure do love my little man!

Damien starts back to school on Thursday and he has a race on Sunday.  So things will be busy next weekend!!!

Mommy & Me Monday - August 15th

This weekend I went up to visit my best friend, Ashley, in the mountains.  I left my sweet hubby in charge of Brayden and Damien. 

The boys had a fun weekend playing around on four wheelers and dirt bikes.  Brayden went for his first four wheeler ride with his Daddy.  Jason said he smiled the whole time!

I had a lot of fun visiting my friends, but I was so glad to get home and see my sweet baby boy!!

Mommy & Me Monday - August 8th

Well, it was yet another uneventful weekend around the Mussetter house.  Now that we have a little break from the dirtbike races, we tend to stay around the house and relax on the weekends!

On Saturday, we went to my nephew Chaz's birthday party.  Luckily it was a pool party, so Brayden and I stayed cool in the pool!

Brayden is such a happy little guy!  I love him to the moon and back!!

Mommy & Me Monday - August 1st

We had a pretty low-key and uneventful weekend.  It was entirely TOO hot to do anything!  Brayden and I spent the day cuddling inside in the air conditioner for most of the weekend.

Saturday evening we went over to my Dad's after we all went to dinner.  Brayden sat with PawPaw in the floor and watched TV.  It was so cute because Brayden reached up and put his hand on PawPaw's shoulder.  I tried getting a good picture, but Brayden turned to look at me because I was being too loud!  Oh well, the picture is still cute!!!

Mommy & Me Monday - July 25th

What a weekend!!!  The temperatures were in the upper 90's and the heat indexes were close to 105 - can you say H-O-T???!!!  I love the warm weather, but I think I am ready for some cooler weather! 
Not to mention that we got home Friday evening and it was 86 INSIDE our house!!  Luckily, it was just the fan that went out and we had it replaced on Saturday.  I honestly don't think I could survive without air conditioning!!!

On Saturday, we went to my dad's company picnic.  Even though it was hot, we still had a great time.  We stayed cool by swimming/floating around in the quarry for most of the time.

Brayden and I slept in on Sunday morning.  I just love the weekends when I can snuggle with my little guy and I don't have to worry about going to work.  **Please forgive the horrible self-portrait taken on my iPhone!**

This weekend, Damien raced in another harescramble race at Davis Mountain - you can read all about the race here.  This will be our last race until the end of August.  I can't wait to sleep in a little bit longer on Sundays!!!

It was quite lonely at my house this weekend, because my hubby took Brayden and my step-son, Damien, to visit their grandparent's in Ohio for the weekend.  Jason is pretty brave for driving 7 hours with Brayden, who is usually less than happy to be in the car.  Before they left, Brayden and I got in a little nap.  I just LOVE cuddling with my little fella'!

This week at "daycare" (my mom keeps Brayden during the day) my little sisters and niece tortured Baby Brayden by making him wear Build-A-Bear hair.  Poor thing!!!  When my husband saw this, his first comment was, "How much was real daycare again??!!"  HAHA!

Poor Baby Brayden!!  He has started teething and we spent our weekend with a very fussy baby!  Friday night was HORRIBLE!!  Brayden would sleep for 30-45 minutes and then start screaming.  I ended up holding him all night.  Saturday night and Sunday night he woke up at about 2am screaming and then came to bed with us. 

I bought Brayden an amber bracelet (which is supposed to be good for teething, you can read about the healing properties of amber here) but it is TOO big!!  My mom is going to try and re-do the bracelet so that it will fit.  Hopefully, the amber bracelet will work and Baby Brayden will start feeling better soon!!!!

On Friday, Brayden and I walked a lap at The American Cancer Society's Relay for Life with Madison, my 11 year old sister, who is a cancer survivor!

Madison was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer (Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans) in November of 2009.  Madison had a large tumor removed from the inside of her ankle and she underwent numerous surgeries and skin grafts.  Madison is now cancer-free, although she will continue to have MRIs and x-rays to make sure the cancer doesn't return.  You can read all about Madison's journey on her Caring Bridge Site.
